Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
In the 9.10 beta (also observed in alpha6 IIRC), the login widget does not start with keyboard focus; I have to find my mouse and click things before I can start typing my username.
Steps to reproduce:
1. install 9.10 beta
2. boot into new GDM greeter
3. start typing username (without touching mouse)
4. observe that keystrokes are being ignored, curse, dig out mouse and click things to get focus
Observed behavior:
mouse must be clicked before typing username.
Desired behavior:
typing username and password at login screen should allow me to log in without touching mouse.
This worked correctly in 9.04.
(FWIW, this is on an Intel Core 2 Duo laptop with GM45 graphics running x86_64 with a 1280x800 LVDS panel, just in case any of that matters.)
