Bug Description

Running Dapper Flight 3 x86-64.
After getting latest round of updates, gdm is crashing (which means graphical login doesn't work). This is new, as it worked in the initial version on the CD.

I can use console virtual-terminal and the dmesg output is:

[ 330.925121] gdmgreeter[5123]: segfault at 00000000000e0009 rip 00002aaaacdb3c3f rsp 00007fffff8432c0 error 4
[ 338.483366] gdmlogin[5174]: segfault at 00000000000e0009 rip 00002aaaac852c3f rsp 00007fffffacab40 error 4

Thanks for your bug. What version of the gdm package do you use? What theme do you use?

gdm version 2.13.0.7-0ubuntu1
default theme from dapper drake. But it doesn't even get to
the login box anymore.

Do you still have that issue with the new version of the package? Can you turn the debug to true from the config file and look to /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog what is written about that?
