Black Screen after login- Intrepid Ibex

Bug Description

I have installed Intrepid Ibex twice,once with a CD,the second time upgraded from 8.04.
The Installation and Upgrade works fine,but after i try to login i just get a black screen,and the only thing that i can do is to move the mice coursor... nothing else...

I'm having the same problem as you are.
Mind posting your computer specs?

Old HP "Pavilion a418x"
Celeron 2.7 GHz
512MB of RAM

Completely erasing compiz seemed to have fixed the problem.
