config/Xsession.in removes some code which (according to the reorganization of Xsession) should move to somewhere else. But I don't see a corresponding addition in the patch anywhere?

In particular, the LC_* normalization was removed deliberately, but the G_BROKEN_FILENAMES removal doesn't appear anywhere else, and I don't see it mentioned in the changelog?

Seb and I confirmed that we are not affected by all the Xsession changes, so that is safe.

I've installed this on Xubuntu Hardy. Everything seems to work normally and it fixed my slow shutdown problem.

I have successfully used this gdm version for a few days now. Logging in, autologin, gdmflexiserver etc. work fine. gdmsetup also works.

Hi there

Before the patch i had the same problem, with another problem. I had some networkmanager error, and the slowdown appear. With this path, the 2 problem are solved for me.

But other people on ubuntu fr experience this bug, the slowdown is resolved for him, but not the networkmanager bug.

See the screenshot for more information:

If you want detailled information ask to me.

And if it's a different bug, said to me, then i create a new bug report

Correction: if he install the 2.20.6, he experience the slowdown bug. After reinstall 2.20.5, no more slowdown problem, but always the networkmanager crash during shutdown

Some more info

With gdm 2.20.5, he don't have problem, no more crash, no more slowdown. What's the hell ?

Small progress

If he fully re-install 2.20.6 (with clear settings), no more slowdown/crash at shutdown.

BUT if he change the "Human" Gdm theme by another, the problem appear.
