As per http:// packaging. ubuntu. com/html/ fixing- a-bug.html, I'm directly including a patch. I've tested this locally and confirmed that these changes enable debugging RISC-V programs running inside very recent versions of QEMU. As noted before, it has also already been applied to the Debian version of the package.
