The last line in section 1 needs to have the following path added to it to allow mandatory keys on a per users basis for SCP

xml:readonly:/var/lib/gconf/users/$(USER)/gconf.xml.mandatory

This has been tested and works

   * debian/default.path:

       change suggested by Pete Savage and required for edubuntu SCP

I've reverted the change, it breaks login in some case, the gconf daemon complains that the directory /var/lib/gconf/users/USER/ can't be created

the updated version didn't go to the archive then, it breaks when using gdmflexiserver --xnest on my desktop so I'll not upload it again for now

Pete: do you have an idea, why it doesn't with "gdmflexiserver --xnest"?

Unfortunately no, gconf is not my strong point. I was asked to submit this as a bug so it could be added. But my knowledge of gconf is "limited"
