When gcompris is configured to run full screen, it doesn't revert to Unity desktop when quitting

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gcompris
On a Unity desktop (Ubuntu 10.10 netbook), when running gcompris full screen, the desktop doesn't revert to Unity when quitting gcompris.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gcompris in full screen mode,
2. Quit gcompris
Expected behaviour:
The desktop reverts to the Unity desktop.
Actual behaviour:
The desktop only shows its background and the Unity desktop (launcher + top panel) do not come back.

Not sure if this problem is related to this bug, but on a 12.04 installation, gcompris starts normally in a full screen mode when launched from Dash Home. However, when the gcompris icon is pined to the Dash Dock on the left, the application starts in a windowed mode.
If unrelated, i can file a new bug report
