Bug Description
The current build had fallen behind and is missing a few important patches.
Release: Ubuntu 11.10
Package Version: 4.5.3~mspgcc-
I ran into the known and fixed issue where main is removed when using gc-sections flag.

Latest LTS-20110716 packages is available in debian unstable (both gcc-msp430 and binutils-msp430).
Can someone just synch it from there?
