Bug Description

Dear Canonical.

We would like to have arm-linux-gnueabi target on ppc64el cross toolchain. This would enable us to use a ppc64el host to do cross compilation for aarch64.

I talked to Matthias Klose already, and he is aware of this request.

Thank you,
Breno

Also, please enable the arm-linux-gnueabi target also, in fact, this is more important than aarch64.

Yes. arm-linux-gnueabi is required to compile code for POWER9 BMCs.

    - x32: Align the .note.gnu.property section to 4 bytes.
    - PowerPC64 __tls_get_addr_opt stub .eh_frame fix.
    - PowerPC64: __tls_get_addr_opt stubs and tocsave optimization.
    - PR gas/23465, x86: don't mistakenly scale non-8-bit displacements.
    - PR gold/23455, add --warn-drop-version option; by default, do not warn

Given the targets specified, you are asking to SRU this into bionic as well, right? or is cosmic sufficient? (to e.g. use chroots?)

Yes, if it is possible, I would like to have this available in bionic also.

never mind, this is all fix-released. I have missread the output from rmadison. So we are all good on bionic and up.
