Bug Description

1. open Gnome-calculator
2. in "advanced" mode do a simple calculation like: 5.66x10^9/44
3. change conversion from Currency->US Dollar in ...

And as you try to pick a value from the second column, program crashes.

For me it happened when I just opened it and tried to switch to Financial mode. It did not do anything so I tried again. Then it froze (greyed out), then switched, then greyed out again and crushed.

If you switch from standard mode to financial the calculator crashes. The bug has been ther for a looooong time (a few years), since I can remember.

when first open and switching to programming mode, but when relaunch again this doesn't happen

For me gcalctool crashed as soon as I switched mode from basic to financial.

Still present in Precise 12.04 amd64 LTS, the standard Financial, US Dollar ->, crashes when selecting 2nd country, only the 1st time, works fine after that.

Happened the first time. Not sure I can reproduce.

I started it from a terminal and got this output:
