Bug Description

Binary package hint: gcalctool

ubuntu 8.10
if you start typing to the left of the zero by accident, the zero doesn't disappear as it should.

---

If you open calculator, then do any sum (note: it won't do it if you
just click to the left of the '0' straight away). Click clear (Clr), and
then 'accidently' click to the left of the zero, or press the left arrow
key on the keyboard. The '0' will then not dissapear as it should, but
stay there. (If it is meant to do this, then there is an inconsistaty,
as the '0' dissapears if you try it when you first start the program.)
Hope this helps

Marked as a duplicate of bug 348699 - when the cursor is placed to the left of the display it should always extend, not replace the display. Bug 348699 covers this inconsistency in the behaviour between first startup and after clearing.
