Calculaltor does not report answer for long addition/multiplication problem

Binary package hint: gcalctool

I enter the following math problem:

7*4.5+1.75*4.5+4.5*.75+2*3.75+2.5*4

I expected the answer of 60.25 to appear.

No answer appears. An image of the blank answer is attached.

I copy the empty answer to the clipboard, then I paste it back into the calculator. The result then says:

60.2560.25

I am working with gcalctool 5.22.2 and Ubuntu 8.04.

Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I can confirm the behaviour described. However, resizing the window made the correct result appear (60.25)
