Bug Description

Binary package hint: gcalctool

I am using Hardy 8.04. All updates applied as far as I know.

When using gcalctool with the thousands separator on, it considers arithmetic symbols (+, -, *, /, etc) as part of a number. Calculations are unaffected. For example, when I type in 250*250, gcalctool displays 2,50*,250 -- but 62,500 is returned (the thousands separator is considered a number as well, so it displays 62,,500).

I marked this as a duplicate of #216864 as I think it is the same issue (the problem seems to be in the localization part, starting with "LANG=C gcalctool" doesn't show the bug)
