I ran partial upgrade in karmic beta an it stated to show up but chrashes before icons even loaded.

I am not, however that may be because I installed the development version of
gavl from the Debian packages and fixed it a long time ago. I would assume
the issue was fixed in the default package though

i've found that this issue could be related to this bug: #456530, but it appears libgavl from the Ubuntu repos isn't updated yet...

affects: software-center (Ubuntu) → gavl (Ubuntu)
