Bug Description

Binary package hint: g15daemon

Using apt-get install/remove/anything on g15daemon results in:

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Tried force options with dpkg, no joy. Synaptic and apt-get both return errors. Update manager says not all updates can be installed. Getting application crash warnings that say the following:

Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should

It does not say what I should do.

Version downloaded was 1.9.0-wip.20070910. Every time I go into Synaptic it says I have a broken package.

1) How can I remove this package to make things clean again?
2) Why can't I install the g15daemon on Hardy? I do have a G15 keyboard. However, I will add that the USB receiver is plugged into a KVM, not the machine itself.

When the G15 keyboard was moved from the KVM to the computer directly, I could remove and install the g15daemon. Bug solved (though I'd say there should never be a program that half installs and can't be removed).
