Bug Description
Hi ,
I am facing this issue from earlier this months upgrade. I am able to see first level of directories of my exFAT file system. But when I access the folder I get error message as described in attached picture 'Screenshot from 2015-11-22 08:02:28.png'
The crash report is mentioned in 'Screenshot from 2015-11-23 11:18:45.png'
The mount status of of the filesystem is mentioned in 'Screenshot from 2015-11-22 08:07:48.png'
I tried umount and mount. I reinstalled the system. But I am convinced that this issue happens after upgrade. There is some issue happens with exFAT utils as seen in the crash report.
This is a brand new laptop purchased one months back. This harddisk dont have any issue in Windows , mine is a dual boot system. I already have raised in another thread in lauchpad and got a reply that it is a bug.
Thanks and Regards
Syam
Hi,
It is maybe a hardware failure[1].
Does this bug is still present with more recent exfat-fuse or in a more recent Ubuntu (at least in Xenial)? Last versions of fuse-exfat fixes many bugs. If it is still present, can you report this issue to the upstream developer[2]? He will be able to confirm that it is a bug in exfat-fuse or a hardware failure.
Thanks.
