Heh, prehistoric bug-reports ;-)
I just tested the game on Ubuntu 15.04, but on completely different hardware then 2009 - everything works smoothly.
Since there have been several new releases of the Ogre engine so far, I think it is safe to close this bug and create a new one in case this problem still exists.
