Bug Description

I came across the following error today when searching for bad symlinks. The search aborts half-way through with "<type 'exceptions.TypeError'>: ord() expected a character, but string of length 46 found" shown in the status area. My hunch is this might be related to long pathnames, but the search for duplicate files or empty directories on the same paths works without a problem. fslint 2.44-1 on trusty.
