Bug Description

It seems that the default configuration of fs2ram places /var/cache on a tmpfs.

This breaks at least the following packages:

 - software-center
 - vdradmin

Arguably, the vdradmin package should create /var/cache/vdradmind in its initialization scripts on startup. Adding a bugtask for this

Software center also breaks when /var/cache is on tmpfs. This was also discussed on:

Raising importance due to the fact that the default configuration breaks a package installed by a standard ubuntu desktop installation.
