Bug Description

It seems that the default configuration of fs2ram places /var/cache on a tmpfs.

This breaks at least the following packages:

 - software-center
 - vdradmin

Arguably, the vdradmin package should create /var/cache/vdradmind in its initialization scripts on startup. Adding a bugtask for this

Reinhard Tartler (siretart) wrote :

Software center also breaks when /var/cache is on tmpfs. This was also discussed on:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/380138/tmpfs-for-var-cache

Reinhard Tartler (siretart) wrote :

Raising importance due to the fact that the default configuration breaks a package installed by a standard ubuntu desktop installation.

Changed in fs2ram (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Critical
