Bug Description

Fritzing had been previously informally downloaded and installed as a user application in $HOME/Applications/fritzing-0.9.3b.linux.AMD64. This would only run from the command line, and Nautilus couldn't start Fritzing properly.

Expected behaviour:

1. start Fritzing
2. be able to create and edit Fritzing projects

Observed behaviour

1. start Fritzing
2. immediate dialogue warning: “Sorry, we have a problem with the swapping mechanism. Fritzing still works, but you won't be able to change parts properties.”. Dismiss dialogue.
3. further dialogue warning: “Cannot read file $HOME/bins/core.fzb: No such file or directory.”. Dismiss dialogue.
4. further dialogue warning: “Fritzing cannot load the parts bin.”. Dismiss dialogue.
6. Giant dialogue starting “Unable to find the following 235 parts: 'SparkFun-Connectors-M03-' at '$HOME/Applications/fritzing-0.9.3b.linux.AMD64/fritzing-parts/core/sparkfun-connectors-m03-.fzp', 'SparkFun-Connectors-M10X2-SPECIAL' at …”, etc. Note that sparkfun-connectors-m03-.fzp does exist at the specified location. Dismiss dialogue.
7. Most projects can't be created as key parts are missing
8. Existing project files will open, but only with any imported parts that they may have contained.
