Bug Description
Fritzing had been previously informally downloaded and installed as a user application in $HOME/Applicati
Expected behaviour:
1. start Fritzing
2. be able to create and edit Fritzing projects
Observed behaviour
1. start Fritzing
2. immediate dialogue warning: “Sorry, we have a problem with the swapping mechanism. Fritzing still works, but you won't be able to change parts properties.”. Dismiss dialogue.
3. further dialogue warning: “Cannot read file $HOME/bins/
4. further dialogue warning: “Fritzing cannot load the parts bin.”. Dismiss dialogue.
6. Giant dialogue starting “Unable to find the following 235 parts: 'SparkFun-
7. Most projects can't be created as key parts are missing
8. Existing project files will open, but only with any imported parts that they may have contained.
