Friends-app uses 70% on pc and 102.2% on mako scrolling list view

Bug Description
Friends app will sit happily at about 4.2% unless I scroll the minute I staret to scroll Friends app hits the top of the top list at around 68.8-71.4% of the cpu. On mako it leaps to a staggering 102.2% the minute you stop scrolling it drops again.

Hm, on my desktop scrolling only takes 20%, but on my mako i did see it jump up to 105%. Not continuously pegged at 105, just jumped up there for a second.
Not really sure what could be causing this -- it's a pretty lightweight QML app as far as things go. friends-app doesn't even download the messages itself (that's what friends-dispatcher does), so it's not like it's furiously refreshing or anything.
