Bug Description

Was in the middle of a version update to from Orneric to Precise when I had hardware issues and had to shut the machine off for a bit while I troubleshooted ram issues. Finally got it figured out and the install was broken.

I used the orneric live-cd to setup a chroot environment and run "apt-get upgrade -f". That got me to a working system, but it looks like there's some other damage.
