No option to mount read/write in recovery menu

Bug Description

There is no option to mount drives as read/write in the menu.

Choosing one of clean.dpkg/fsck/grub/network gets a prompt asking if you wish to do so.

Root shell gives no prompt prior to the shell.

Xubuntu 12.04 updated.

You can get around it by doing one of the 4 options that ask - but do we want people running random commands to achieve something else?

I've noticed this in Ubuntu 12.04. Because I don't do it all that often, I find it hard to remember the remount r/w command, and there's no way to look it up at that point. That makes the whole experience a bit frustrating for me, and I imagine others as well.

Same here - and at least we'd have some idea where to go to at least find out what we needed to do.

Given that Ubuntu has set itself up as a friendly distro for people to move to - naming this package friendly-recovery is a bit of an oxymoron for those people.

I can understand the reasoning behind https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/friendly-recovery/+bug/575469

I can't understand the reasoning behind removing the mount drives option from the menu.
