Bug Description
1) Open gnome-terminal
2) xrandr --output default --rotate inverted
2) Open another gnome-terminal
In both the original and the new terminal, text has red and blue "shadows" caused by subpixel rendering that doesn't match up to the inverted pixel layout resulting from the screen being flipped 180 degrees.

I confirm that this still is an issue with ubuntu 14.04.
If I select RGBA for subpixel I get blurry fonts when the screen in inverted. This is not an issue if I select grayscale for subpixel.
I can run further tests if needed.
All the best.
