Bug Description
Binary package hint: libfreetype6
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10
libfreetype6:
Installed: 2.3.7-2ubuntu1
Candidate: 2.3.7-2ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 2.3.7-2ubuntu1 0
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
The '2' and the 's' renders weird... if you follow the ClanLib install it works like expected... see screen shot left is original Ubuntu freetype... right is fresh freetype. Btw to test I used ClanLib 0.9 SVN 2263 and the Font example from the Example folder.
Quote from http://
The standard freetype 2.3.7 package that comes with Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) has very poor quality. It is recommended to reinstall the package from the source code as follows:
(from: http://
tar -xvzf freetype-
cd freetype-2.3.7
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
sudo make install
This fix the issues!!! And it makes the overall look much nicer...
