Bug Description

As described in:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeradius/+bug/66568

There is a bashism in the init.d script for the freeradius version currently in edgy. Since /bin/sh links to dash in edgy, freeradius will completely fail to start. In fact, it's not even possible to purge the package, because the pre-removal script tries to stop the service, which fails. Since this package is unusable without a fixed init.d script, I think it warrants a backport?

Thanks,
-Jonathan

No, bugfix-only updates should be done via SRU

I did everything as described in:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports

and:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=153402

And you're rejecting this (perfectly valid) request because it's not done via the right channel? What *is* the right channel, if I've done something wrong? What is "SRU"? And why are you simply unilaterally rejecting this request for something that needs to be done, simply because it's not "SRU" ?
