i manage to open my video camera, create a text layer, apply a blit and after few minutes or seconds i get this:

Corrupt JPEG data: premature end of data segment Segmentation fault

happens also without creating the text layer or doing any other sort of manipulation.

im running freej under maverick and will be happy to provide more debug info is you remind me the flags i should use.

Fixed already long time ago in our sourcecode (upstream).

I'm now packaging FreeJ on my own, see ppa:jaromil/rastasoft

just updated what should be the next stable release candidate
