Correction: Gloria Steinem did marry. She married David Bale in 2000 at age 66. He died in 2003.

The semantic intricacies actually are more subtle even with your proposed patch that implies that Mrs Steinem explicitly chose age 66 as a marriage point. I concur that the original fortune entry is misleading, too. For this reason, I propose the amendment, "Gloria Steinem, on why she had never married."
