Bug Description
printer:
samsung clp-320N over TCP/IP (IPv4), both LPD and IPP possible
The clp-315 and the clp 325 driver both work perfectly on this printer
the printer is mechanically single sided
duplex printing is done in software/firmware
the print protocol is zjstream
used packets: foomatic/foo2qpdl, cups, system-
ubuntu 10.04 cups and the clp-315 driver ( foo2qpdl ) allowed me to print duplex (=double-sided)
ubuntu 12.04 cups or the clp-315 driver ( foo2qpdl ) prevent duplex printing
"double-sided (long edge)" is a selectable option but it doesn't "stick"
after dialogue confirmation it jumps back to "single-sided"
giving the impression that cups (or foomatic) does not accept the chosen option.
(and indeed it shows....no duplex printing)
also tried the (totally different) driver of the manufacturer, again no duplex printing
so I suspect CUPS to be the culprit.
both tested ubuntu drivers are from the respective standard ubuntu repositories
the standard system-
I really want to nail this bug...but I think I might need some help from a person more knowledged than I am
