foobillard freezes on attempt to quit

It happens almost always after the game is finished

On exit, Foobillard causes complete failure of the system. This happens on Ubuntu Karmic Koala (never had that issue on Jaunty Jackalope). I can move mouse but nothing else responds... and I mean nothing at all.
Running Ubuntu 9.10, clean install, on a Acer Travelmate 2700, 512mb ram, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP graphic card, and no desktop effects.

caixamagica, know what you mean :) one workaround is to ctrl-alt-f1, login with priviliges, enter top, note down the pid of foobillard, quit top and run 'kill -9 <pid>' subsituting <pid> for the foobilliard pid found earlier.
Foobillard is a trap!
