Bug Description

Hello,

I'm running foobillard on Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise). On april 2013 there was an update of the kernel to 3.2.0-40-generic.

Since then, it's hardly possible to see the table, the side of the carpet became too dark to see the table details. There is only the central spot of the table which kept the original colors. see the image.

With the previous kernel there was no such problem.

Many thanks for any action you could take to solve this problem. It's a nice game which is worth a try.

Enrico

A few days ago I experienced the same as Enrico did.
Unfortunately, it is now nearly impossible to play this game.
May be I am wrong, but the balls seemed for me to run a little more smoothly now.

AFAIK this game used to be have a perfect graphics on nvidia cards. That picture you posted shows the game as it appeared on other cards, like ati (I know this because I had cards from different manifacturers, so I'm referring about something I've witnessed). After said update, even nvidia cards are now not giving the wanted result with both foobillard and foobillard++, i.e. the table cloth looks darker and there is a lot of contrast on the cloth texture. I believe though that something can be modified in the source code, but lacking the necessary experience with the library that have been used to code the game, I'm not able to apply to changes at the moment.
