Bug Description

when using the Ubuntu Mono font (ex, with gnome terminal), rendering ã, õ, ñ, etc. gives a blurred line up to 19 point size. This should be fixed at least from 14 points up. My screen resolution is 1920x1200 with 95x95 dpi.

Please could you re-take the screenshots with the two magic debugging characters '' and '' pasted into the terminal first. These provide information about the version number of the state of the hinting engine.
