Description:
When the glyphs Ī and Ē get aliased the horizontal line on the top does not start on the pixel boundary for regular 24pt font. For these two glyphs the aniased part of the line is above the black part of the line, while the other glyphs (such as ĀŪŌ) have the line starting at the pixel exactly and the aliased line is below the black line, so the line looks cleaner.

When the glyphs get aliased, the macron is fractionally higher for the ŌŪ than for the ĀĪĒ.
