I don't know either... fonts-droid 1:4.3-3ubuntu1.1 has been in the archive for a couple of months now, and this bug report is the first of the kind.
Can you please try these commands:
sudo apt-get purge fonts-droid
sudo apt-get install fonts-droid
and let us know if you get rid of the error messages that way?
