Fonts became ugly after upgrading to fontconfig 2.4.1.

I captured two screenshots.

I don't know much about font rendering. Maybe one of autohint or AA is missing. Configuration might be not applied.

I'm sorry that I have no clue.

Could you please try restarting the applications that show weird fonts or just restart your computer? The former fixed it for me

I took the shot after re-created all cache and restarted the applications. It didn't work for me.

I can't restart my computer while I should do something w/o reboot. But It'll not affect the problem, I think.

This bug is fixed at version 2.4.1-2ubuntu2.
I think it was a duplication of bug #73714.
