I have constantly opened Openffice and Evince viewing a PDF and writing a document and switching back and forth.

looks like a libfontconfig issue, reassigning for now.

It is not possible for me to remember which was the exact document, when this happened because I am working on translation of many small PDFs. I can only say, they are a parts of a scanned book with OCR done in order to be able to select and copy the scanned text.
