Bug Description

This is a request to SRU the latest microrelease of the 0.11 series of flatpak into bionic.

[Impact]

New upstream micro release of flatpak, which brings fixes and improvements to the 0.11 series.

Bionic is currently at 0.11.3, whereas 0.11.7 is available upstream.

[Test Case]

The bugs being resolved are not simple to reproduce, see the test plan below for testing flatpak itself.

[Regression Potential]

Flatpak has a test suite, which is run on build across all architectures and passes.

There is also a manual test plan https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Process/Merges/TestPlan/flatpak. I have confirmed that 0.11.7 passes with this test plan.

Flatpak has autopkgtests enabled http://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/f/flatpak which is passing on bionic.

Regression potential is low, and upstream is responsive to any issues raised. (upstream quickly fixed two regressions I found when testing prior versions with the test plan).

The attachment "Flatpak bionic 0.11.3-3 to 0.11.7 debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team.

Sorry for the automatic bot message, Ken is already sponsoring this change, so please ignore the request from the bot for now. (I don't have permission to unsubscribe ~ubuntu-sponsors)

note that you shouldn't bump the standards version or change stuff like that on a SRU, there's no need for that and someone else might've rejected the upload

Hello Andrew, or anyone else affected,

Accepted flatpak into bionic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flatpak/0.11.7-0ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-bionic to verification-done-bionic. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-bionic. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

@Timo, Awesome thanks ! I have noted not to bump the standards version for future SRUs and I'll test this tonight :-)

I have run the test plan on a Bionic VM, which passed all relevant tests successfully - I have noted the version of flatpak used below. Therefore I am marking this as verification-done-bionic.
