2011-06-12 10:21:58 Benjamin description Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree The current flashplugin-nonfree from the official Ubuntu repositories (10.3.181.22) "flickers" when displaying Flash content in Firefox 4.0.1. Some parts of the content are visible, others are not. This changes, when parts of the content is updated or the mouse is moved over. This bug makes essentially viewing videos impossible, but also flash-based audioplayers are affected. However, Chromium (and maybe other Webkit browsers) is completely unaffected. Downgrading Flash to 10,3,162,29 via this PPA https://launchpad.net/~sevenmachines/+archive/flash "solves" the problem, but one is stuck with an outdated and presumably insecure flash version. I'm not quite sure if this a flash bug or a Firefox bug.
