Bug Description
Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
I've been experiencing this issue for a while now, on i386 (10.1.85.3ubuntu1) and amd64 (10.2.161.22 from Adobe Labs).
When my user has a tab open with a paused web video (e.g. youtube), another user cannot playback sound.
To be clear, my user:
> uid=1000(user) gid=1000(user)
> groups=
> 46(plugdev)
> 125(vboxusers)
The user experiencing this:
> uid=1001(affected) gid=1001(affected)
> groups=
> 1001(affected)
The guest session is also affected and can be used to reproduce this bug:
1. Play any video on youtube, pause it.
2. Go to guest session.
3. Flash video sites will be mute; desktop playback software will either not play (totem) or be also muted (vlc).
Don't know whether this helps but here it is anyway. :P
