Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

I am having a problem with the flashplugin-installer on a computer running Ubuntu 9.10 that I am supporting remotely. (This bug report is submitted from a different computer but I have attached a screen shot showing the problem the computer is experiencing):

In essence, when installing/reinstalling the flash plugin, dpkg tries to connect to archive.canonical.com but gets a 404 when trying to fetch adobe-flashplugin_10.1.53.64.orig.tar.gz

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. You seem to be trying to install an older version of the plugin. Please try to install the latest version.
