Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

When I try to enter any text in Latvian or Lithuanian using specific symbols into any Adobe Flash based text input box, the input is wrong. Instead, for example, Ģļāžšķūņū ŗūķīšī entered text is Ä¢ļāžÅ¡Ä·Å«ņÅ« Å—Å«Ä·Ä«Å¡Ä«. When i try to copy text from somewhere else into textbox, everything is displayed correctly.

Yes, this happens only in Flash-based text fields. In other text fields everything is correct.

Thank you for the clarification. Since this only occurs in Flash-based text fields, this is likely a bug with Flash instead of Firefox. I'm switching this report to the flashplugin-nonfree package to reflect that.

affects: firefox (Ubuntu) → flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)
