Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the "Attachment:" box below. Which Ubuntu version do you use? Which playback program do you use? Which codecs does the problematic videos have? Can you reproduce it with one video file or is it random? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the report, Which type of file is the one you're trying to see, avi, mpeg, etc? Do you get the same results if you see the video with: gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/video ? thanks.

@manzur,

gst-launch-0.10 is a command provided by gstreamer. You will have to type 'gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/video' in terminal.
