2008-05-31 16:45:16 xtknight description On sites that use a Firefox plugin multiple times, I often notice that some of the instances go gray and nonfunctional. Different ones do this each time you refresh the page. See here for an example (and the screenshot): http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/ I have noticed this with the totem plugins (native 64-bit) and Flash (32-bit) through nspluginwrapper. I should note that the Flash plugins die completely and never seem to come back, whereas the totem ones are always just sporadic but never die out completely. I am not sure if this is a Firefox problem or a problem with both of the plugins.

The libvlcplugin.so (64-bit) VLC plugin has a tendency to completely crash Firefox when I leave a page with VLC plugins embedded.

It seems that this occurs only when there are multiple instances of a plugin that have been loaded over the course of browsing, but I am not sure.
