Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

After a couple hours of having firefox open, flash movies (youtube, etc.) along with banners and such stop displaying. I just get a gray box. If I restart firefox, everything is fine.

System info:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008041515 Firefox/3.0b5
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124

Linux fenster 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 12:47:45 UTC 2008 x86_64

I was running the beta 8.04, but have been doing all updates.

I'm having trouble installing flash 10 beta. I have it downloaded, but I cannot get firefox 3.05b to see it. If you have any ideas, let me know.

also. if multiple flash pages are opened, the later opened pages may display the flash content as a gray block as well.

some times restart firefox helps, but some times may not help

Confirming. Happens on various machines.

How to test using Flash 10 beta? Is there a x64-package for it? As far as I know the version from hardy-backports installs Flash 9.

I can confirm this on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid 64bit with Flash 10. After some time Flash content will only be displayed as a grey box. Restarting the browser always works for me.

Yeh I get this a lot as well on flash 10.

(using the 64bit flash plugin rather than the nsplugin'd 32 bit normally just results in whole firefox crashes too often).
