Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

After an upgrade on 07 Feb 2008, flash refused to function, offering install of the plugin through Firefox, but then failing with "Plugin already installed."

Except that https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173890 shows "Fixed
released" when this problem obviously hasn't. The MD5SUM mismatch is
STILL evident on a machine which is updated daily i.e. the package
worked yesterday when fully updated but not today when fully updated.

The "workaround" is the same, but marking this as a duplicate of a
three-month old bug is silly.

Nope. Reopen that bug, and you'll find a whole host of people will get
notified about it, etc. That's where the activity needs to happen; if it's
not fixed, it's not fixed.
