Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

After an upgrade on 07 Feb 2008, flash refused to function, offering install of the plugin through Firefox, but then failing with "Plugin already installed."

Thank you for your bug report. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug #173890.

Except that https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173890 shows "Fixed
released" when this problem obviously hasn't. The MD5SUM mismatch is
STILL evident on a machine which is updated daily i.e. the package
worked yesterday when fully updated but not today when fully updated.

The "workaround" is the same, but marking this as a duplicate of a
three-month old bug is silly.

Nope. Reopen that bug, and you'll find a whole host of people will get
notified about it, etc. That's where the activity needs to happen; if it's
not fixed, it's not fixed.
