flashplugin-nonfree not installing correctly in Gutsy

Bug Description

after installing ubuntu-restricted-extras, flash does not work in firefox or opera. this has been repeated twice on 2 different computers.

My first thought, off the top of my head, is that there was recently a new release of the Flash plugin. The flashplugin-nonfree package needs to be updated either (a) to specifically download the older Flash plugin, if that is possible, or (b) for the new Flash release.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. I have classified this bug as a bug in flashplugin-nonfree.
