Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.10, Firefox 16.0.1+build1-0ubuntu1, ubuntu-restricted-extras 57.

I'm filing this against Ubuntu's firefox package because I cannot reproduce it in other Firefox builds (I have not tried from source in Ubuntu yet). Furthermore, chromium-browser does not experience this issue.

On both my Asus G71GX and HP Mini 1010NR, Firefox consumes 70-100+% CPU load (as seen from top) when flash content is displayed. I have Flash installed via ubuntu-restricted-extras. Please let me know what other details I can provide.

There's nothing unique about our builds that would cause this over any other Firefox build

affects: firefox (Ubuntu) → flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)

So, what can I provide for the flashplugin team to help with this?
