Bug Description

With this kernel flash player plays the video twice as fast or with no sound. Also the flash applet crashes shortly after starting playback.

This does not happen with linux-image-3.2.0-24-genric. Switching kernel and rebooting consistently triggers the bug.
Both the flashplayer embedded in Chrome (11.3.31.103) and the one installed manually for firefox from Adobe's website (11.2 r202) have this behaviour.

Kim Nguyễn, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Please answer the following questions:

+ Does the Flash applet crash on every website with Flash or only certain ones?
+ Could you please provide a specific website that demonstrates this problem?
+ Could you please go into about:crashes and post a link to one of the Flash crashes associated with this problem?
+ As per your Bug Description:
> "This does not happen with linux-image-3.2.0-24...Additionnal info:
uname -a
Linux tartufo 3.2.0-24-generic..."

This is confusing. It seems your saying that this does not happen in 3.2.0-24 but it happens in this same kernel. Could you please clear this up?

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.

Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance.
