Firefox crashes after loading website with Flash

Bug Description
When I install the Adobe Flash Player 7 from the add/remove menu item in the applications menu in Gnome on Edgy Eft or copy the file from the Flash 9 beta into ~/.mozilla/plugins folder, whenever I load a website with Flash on it, Firefox crashes. When I un-install Flash and then go to a website with Flash, Firefox functions normally (doesn't crash). On the forums someone guessed it was a problem with X-Windows composite options which are turned on by default in Edgy Eft.
